Natural Resources Defense Council Still Fighting Federal Legislation That Removed Local Control Over Harmful 5G Infrastructure. Conference Call Today.

SNLS | January 31, 2019

By B.N. Frank

Over the last year, state and federal legislation was passed that allows dangerous 4G and 5G small cell towers and infrastructure to be installed throughout American communities and rural areas – even in front of homes in residential neighborhoods.

Many American communities and organizations have already taken legal action against this.  Last summer, NRDC joined several American tribal groups in doing the same.  NRDC is still fighting this – along with many other Americans – now including some elected officials.  See 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

NRDC is having a conference call today, Thursday, Jan 31 3-4pm EST.  From one of their newsletters:

Please join NRDC attorney Sharon Buccino for an update on the current status of action in Washington DC regarding efforts by the Federal Communications Commission to eliminate public participation and review of proposed new cell towers and other wireless infrastructure.

• Update on legal challenges to FCC order
• Update on proposed legislation being considered in Congress affecting construction of new cell towers and other wireless infrastructure

To participate, simply rsvp to cwyatt@nrdc.org.  Feel free to share with others who you think may be interested.

The role of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is to protect the public by regulating the Telecom Industry.  They have been doing the exact opposite for many years already and are considered to be a “Captured Agency”.  This has only become worse over the last few years due to the “Race for 5G” and other Big Tech related campaigns including “Smart Cities,” utility “Smart” Meters, Automated Vehicles (AVs), and Artificial Intelligence (AI).  See 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
